About Us
Morecambe ladies & Girls has been a club for 20 years. We orginially started off with just our Womens team. Since then we have grown to the size we are today.
On the right you will see our founders. Nick Barrett and Sophie Fish. They were presented with the Kings award. This was presented to Nick and Sophie for an extraordinary ALL GIRLS Volunteer football team.
In 2024 we are privileged to have a full youth section within our club. This youth section consists of teams from Under 7s to all the way to under 16s. We also have a few ages group that have more than one team aswell.
Within the setup we have both amazing coaches and coaching teams. As the club has grown the coaching team has grown too.

I have been involved with Morecambe women and girls for 22 years, originally manager of the womens team and now chairman and coach for the u15 reds. The club has been a huge part of my life and I have seen so much progression in all of those years. From one team in 2002 we now have 16 teams in all and over 200 females playing football. We have some amazing coaches and volunteers, who are thriving in this all girls environment. Personally, as chairman I couldn’t be more proud to see the girls playing and training each week. To see the change in confidence and smiles on their faces makes all of the hard work absolutely worth it.
